On Wednesday, 4 June 2025, Museum Zaanse Tijd is dedicated to National Grandpa and Grandma Day. Especially for this occasion, the spotlight will be on longcase clocks – from proud \u2018grandfather clocks\u2019 to surprising \u2018grandmother’s clocks\u2019.<\/p>\n
Visitors are welcomed in the Amsterdam-style room, where a unique collection of Dutch longcase clocks can be admired – including pieces of Zaanse manufacture. Young and old can discover together why these clocks are so imposing. An interactive scavenger hunt helps bring to life the story behind these extraordinary timepieces.<\/p>\n
On 4 June, children up to 17 years old can enter for free on presentation of the article, and grandpa and\/or grandma will receive a 50% discount on the entrance fee. Museum cardholders, of course, have free admission.<\/p>\n
