Today, Storm Benjamin is passing over the Netherlands. At the Zaanse Schans, we are therefore taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of visitors, residents and employees. Due to the strong winds, some areas, such as the dykes, bridges and windmills, may feel more turbulent than usual. We ask you to remain alert, keep a close eye on your surroundings and follow our staff’s instructions.
The toilet facilities will close a little earlier than usual today to keep everything safe and manageable. Some facilities may also be temporarily inaccessible, or staff may make minor adjustments on site, for example, to loose objects, flags or outdoor terraces. We ask for your understanding regarding these temporary measures.
The Zaanse Schans remains a special place – even in changeable weather. We hope you enjoy your visit despite the storm, and thank you for your cooperation and vigilance.
