Zaanse Schans Guided tour | >10 persons

Walk with an experienced guide through the primal Dutch landscape of the Zaanse Schans past green wooden houses, windmills and old crafts. During the tour, you will be taken back to times of yesteryear and hear about the rich industrial past of the Zaan region in colours and scents.

• Duration: approx. 1.5 hours, daily 9 am – 5 pm
• Cost per person: Dutch-speaking guide €12.00, Foreign-speaking guide: €14.00

Typically Dutch guided tour with visit to mill and weaver’s house | >10 persons

Walk with an experienced guide through the archetypal Dutch landscape of Zaanse Schans past green wooden houses, mills and old crafts. During the tour, you will be taken back to the 17th and 18th century, and hear about the rich industrial past of the Zaan region in all its colours and scents. Visit a mill and discover all about old Dutch crafts such as sailcloth weaving or cheese making.

• Duration: approx. 1 and 45 minutes, daily 9 am – 5 pm

Experience the Zaanse Schans from the water | >10 persons

From 1 July to mid-October, we offer a unique canoe trip through the beautiful Kalverpolder, the protected nature reserve directly behind the Zaanse Schans. Accompanied by trainers and former members of the national team, Dutch champions and participants in World and European Championships, you will paddle in a small group (10–15 people) for 1.5 hours past reed beds, old windmills and characteristic Zaan houses. A surprisingly peaceful and atmospheric addition to your visit to the Zaanse Schans! Tip: End your canoe trip with a tasty bite on a snack platter at the Zaans Museum.

Access to other locations and the area remains free.
