De Waterzoon: man and nature through the centuries

In her lecture, Eva Vriend takes the audience on a journey through the eyes of Jac. P. Thijsse and his son Jo. Their stories show how man and nature relate to each other repeatedly, and how this relationship changes over time. The theme ties in closely with current issues concerning landscape, heritage and the future.

  1. Take bus line 800 or 801 operated by Meerplus, or travel by train to Zaanse Schans station.
  2. If you prefer to come by car, please be aware that waiting times at the car park may occur.
  3. A Park & Ride (P+R) location is also a convenient option.
