Zaan Nature Day: discover the Kalverpolder
On Sunday, 22 June 2025, you can discover the Kalverpolder. A place full of stories, birds and panoramic views. Step aboard the shuttle boat, let a bird guide lead you past reed beds and water birds, or join storyteller Flip Valk on a walk along the Schanszichtpad.
On the grounds of the Kalverpolder Foundation, you will find information stands from Staatsbosbeheer, the Poelboerderij and the Vogelwacht, a film about nature conservation by volunteers, and live music from 3 p.m. with Elevate, Mees, Lorena + the Tide and Barnyard Tea.
A day for anyone who wants to discover how nature, landscape and volunteer work come together in the heart of the Zaanse Schans. With simple catering, toilet facilities and accessibility for everyone.
