A unique glimpse into the Noorderhuis, one of the most stately monumental buildings in the Zaanse Schans
During the Open Monument Days on 13 and 14 September 2025, the Heritage-Chambres Noorderhuis will open its doors to visitors at Kalverringdijk 17. The monument is currently undergoing renovation, but during this special weekend, the Noorderhuis will be accessible and the building’s remarkable history will come to life.
Style and history of the Noorderhuis
Visitors will have the opportunity to step inside a 17th-century merchant’s house, one of the most stately buildings in the Zaanse Schans. The interior is being restored step by step to its original Empire style, giving the Noorderhuis a new future.
